Once complete, the Heartland Pipeline will have the capacity to transport upwards of 900,000 barrels of Alberta crude oil per day.
A proposed 200 km (125 mile) crude oil pipeline, the Heartland Pipeline will transport crude oil from near Edmonton, Alberta, to facilities near Hardisty, Alberta.
The Heartland Pipeline is governed according to regulations outlined by the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER).
